Hi I'm new here. Actually I'm pretty new to therianthropy too. I was looking at a book review when I came across the word and decided to follow the link. Everything I read just seemed to hit me over the head and go "duh!" So over the past couple of days I've been checking out various communities and hoping to find people to talk to. I don't know any other therians yet but I'd like to. I guess I should give a little about myself here I'm 20 and in college. I love to write and draw, I also need my music, since it helps calm me down and to meditate. My theriotype is a white winged tiger. Not too sure what else to say right now but I look forward to meeting new people, and my hands are really cold right now!!!>.< we need a heater upstairs

Welcome to Werecats Anonymous. We are always glad to have new members and a new therian to top it off -- talk about freshmeat *licks muzzle*
Where do you go to school and what are in school for?? I can't think of anything else to ask at the moment but I'm sure if someone has a question they will ask.
Anyway, go explore, have fun,and make friends
*offers a huge hunk of raw red meat* (( or you can have something sweet))

Thanks ^^ *feels welcomed* I go to the University of Albany in NY, USA. I finally decided to be an English major, after much debate and not a little disagreement among certain family members >.> Still having some trouble pinning down my minor though *sees hunk of meat* ooooo *.*

Hi Messima! How interesting to find another tiger from the Albany area! I pretty much grew up there in Clifton Park, although I moved away from there many years ago. My parents are still up that way, and they demand that I visit them as often as I possibly can! LOL So perhaps one day.... Anyway, welcome to WereCats Anonymous. Very glad to have you here -- hope you find us friendly. If not, let me know and I'll put them in their place. j/k

If you don't mind satisfying my savage curiosity(curiosity did kill that cat... wait, does that make me a zombie?), how did you come up with a winged cat? They're not a form you come across every day and such, and the story behind it would be cool to hear, if you don't mind. :3

Well curiosity never killed the cat, just couple hours, or so i heard and no, I wouldn't mind, though why I'm awake right now I have no idea >.< I've always felt like a cat, I've even been called a cat by friends, and I act like one sometimes, which they find entertaining ^^; In spring of...'07 I had the awesomest teacher ever XD She was probably the most liberal teacher I've ever had, we did essays on dream interpretation and tarot cards in an Academic Writing class!!!! Anyways, she had us do this meditation one day; first we wrote down all our nicknames and titles (like job title, boyfriend/girlfriend, etc) and then we ripped the paper up and threw it away. The point was that in the meditation we would pull our minds down to our innerselves and see what was left out of all the things we had written down. I found myself in a vaguely familiar place and I was human at first, but as soon as I jumped down from where I was and started walking, I was a winged tiger. It just felt so right. Since then I've had two dreams I can remember where I've shifted into that form, one where I definitely had wings, the other dream changed too quickly for me to get a clear idea. And when I try to imagine myself without them, it feels wrong and makes me get a little agitated. On a side note, I knew I had wings before I knew I was tiger, but I never felt like any sort of bird. So I guess that's about it. Sorry to make it so long, though that is a slightly edited version, considering I gave no real description of the place I went ^^;

Curiousity may have killed the cat, but satisfaction brough him back, they say.
Welcome to a great group of people and a terrific Forum.
