Anyone else really big loners? I mean I know some felines are not, such as lions and sometimes cheetahs, considering they will stay in family groups sometimes of brothers for awhile, but most big and small cats only meet up with one another when its time to find a mate, or sometimes by chance, do you think that reflects on your human self?
When I look back on my 16 years of living, I notice I have only ever had one true friend, all the rest I consider only acquaintances, the fact is, I just never get lonely, I never feel lonely, I am quite content with my solitude, I never feel the need to get out and strive to meet people and make friends, although I know it is good to have friends, and its not like I am anti social.
I get out and do things and socialize and have fun, just not to much, I just do not long for company like I have seen others do, to tell the truth, I could live alone for the rest of my life, and it would not bother me.
Does anyone else feel this way, sometimes or all the time?

I actually prefer the company of 2 or 3 people rather than big groups, but I don't like being by myself either. Which is kinda like my theriotype I guess Cap x

Good question and yes , I am quite of a loner myself ... ex : In my summer vacation , I'm always ''whining'' because I'm bored ... My mother says ''Call a friend , or invite/go see them '' And I'm always like ... ''why ? '' ... And to be honest maybe only one of my friend ever came to my house , and that was only like 2 times ... thats it ...
I'm quite of a loner ... Even my friends seem to notice ... If they want to go somewhere with other I often say No thanks and keep the weekend by myself at home , of in the woods(camping) ...
I think that my cat side can come to affect my friendship with others ... I fear that my closest friend might think I'm '' Ditch-ing'' her ... When I'm really not ... I'm just a loner ... I fear she doesn't ''believe me '' ... When our friendship really means allot to me ...
So yeah my Cat-side really affects me at times ... Lol you made me notice ...
And I think It doesn't only affect her , but my ''pack'' as well (group of friends) ... Heres how I am in the group ... ''I hang out with them in the ''breaks'' and lunch ... outside sometimes ... but I often go lurking by myself away from them ... And It often ends up that they come to see me anyway ... (annoying little bunch lol joke) ... But when I really hang out I prefer being with one of my closest friend alone ... to many like the hole gang comes to annoy me at times ... Tough I don't hate them , I prefer having 1 or 2 close friends ...
Tough maybe the short numbers of ''real'' friends that I might have , and possibly not taking enough time to be with them , they mean allot to me ...

and Capsha , you can have an advantage thanks to your therioside if you try to bring it out in social citations , A lioness ... ( this is a compliment , sorry if you see it the other way around , its really a compliment) ... Because I find to be told that I'm to ''wild'' as in a way that I'm really uncomfortable in social situations ... class is a pretty good problem for me actually ... ( Unless Its a subject that I like ... thats an other story lol ) ... So I changed the Idea of being a lion long ago ... If I where to be changed into one I would make a bad lioness ... yup... hmm... I wonder what the others would be thinking ... that would be the case of an animal having a therioside of its own ... But you know whats kinda weird ... As much as I am ''solitary'' when It comes to work in a group people in a way seem to follow me , and listen ... Which in most groups for ''projects'' that I end up in is a good thing ( ... lol you don't wanna know ....) ... And when I'm in my ''pack'' (gang) its funny , when theres a problem , people come to see me for advise ... really like sometimes its people that really annoy me and I avoid them ... and they come lol ... (tough , hate is such a strong word ... but sometimes I do avoid them ... there like ''friends'' ... meh ... anyway ... ) ... Sometimes I want to say to them ''What am I a shrink ?! '' lol ... *reads hole post ...'' d**n I am such a chatter cat ... '' holds mouth tight behind paws *

I just prefer doing things alone, I use to get really nervous and upset in school as well. Being around a lot of people, it affected how I thought and worked as well, now I am home bound, which is a lot better in my opinion, I can concentrate better and I get much better grades now, being able to work on my own time and do as I like, another feline trait I suppose lol, the teacher that comes to my house is very lax. I always complain about being bored to and restless, I always feel the need to be on the move and doing something. xD

I tend to prefer to be alone as well. If I am with friends I prefer only one or two other people. I can handle small groups of people as long as I know most of them, but larger groups make me nervous.
I also never have very many friends. Only a few at time that I would consider friends, and out of those I'm not sure how many I would consider true friends. I need and enjoy the company of friends here and there, but over all I prefer solitude.

I mean by your theriosides' nature Lion ... Lions are more social than other animals they live in prides ... I didn't want to say that you where necessarily more ''social'' (If that's the way you interpreted it , sorry ) ...
I was just talking about how maybe there could be influence , and possibly , sometimes your therian side can help you in social situation , I mean by ex : maybe team sports ...
By that I reflect on how lionesses can hunt in group (2-3 etc ... lol just like you said , preferring to be with 2-3 people )
I was only saying what Aeterna* said in the first post when she mentioned Lions and cheetahs as being animals that live in more ''family'' groups ...
(...Sorry If you where offended in any way ...)

even though my therian type is solitary by nature, I am the exact opposite* except for when im in what i like to call "a mood"* usually i love being around friends, and can't stand it when im home by myself for a long time.
But the only exception is when im outside. you bother me when i'm observing nature, and i will claw your eyes out =^.^=

If there's a task at hand, I prefer to do it alone. I can honestly say that I hate shopping with other people. I don't like to work in groups on projects. if there's something that actually needs to get done, I'm more productive if I'm independent of others.
But when it comes to just hanging out, relaxing, lolly-gagging; I like doing it with my very close friends. When it comes to large groups, I tend to distance myself from others and when it comes to large crowds, I can't deal with it. I almost fainted when someone took me to NYC. I couldn't handle the amount of folks that were around me.
So I guess it depends on the situation. But all in all, I'm not extroverted.
