Hey guys. I mentioned being able to shift and a few members have asked me if I could do a kind of tutorial on it, so here goes...!
This is what works for me personally so I dunno if it'll work for others, but you can always change what you say/think or leave a comment and tell me how it goes!
The easiest type of shift, and the first you should try is the mental shift, or m-shift. I won't explain it, I'm sure you all know what it is.
When I want to shift I do it in 5 steps... so here they are!
1- I get really relaxed, I usually meditate before, have some tea or spend a few minutes doing deep breathing.
2- I really think I about what kind of animal I am, and I mean REALLY think about it: I visualize it, think about it, imagine myself as one, and imagine them doing what your type might do.
3- I say to myself "I'm not a human, I'm a *say type" over and over again, usually about 10 times.
4- When I "feel" myself start to m-shift I go back and repeat step 3.
5- I let go of my human side and totally embrace my animal side, and I shift.
It was hard to explain, I hope it helps!

Hi Capsha,
Your method is similar to how I set up a bi-location journey in my feline form.
The difference being I'm napping or settling in for the night so the steps to relaxation are simplified...the challenge is not to drift off to sleep.
Once the cat is forward, I send it out as my awareness and explore as a cat. If I start to lose awareness I look down at my paws to re-establish and continue on.
This, I guess, is similar to an "M-shift" but it is a lazy cat's way to express himself, especially when a more active shift is not possible.
With practice one can visit a trusted friend, especially if they have dogs, to see if anyone sensed your presence.

@ Ghostwind that sounds cool, I guess it is similar to M-shifting! I'm always interested in what other people do to shift, and what they experiance because I wanna try and work out an easy method to help people to shift. So if you want you can PM me with how you do it? You don't have to, it's just a thought. Cap
