I am positive that I am a werecat as well... I guess I became sure when I got a job working directly with over 70 cats a day and seemed to have a special bond with them.. Cats have always been a big part of my life for as far back as I can remember, but it all became clear that we had more in common than I realized when I was with them constantly... I sought out a job working with them... As a child i used to sneak out at night and hide and slink around kinda hunting and would get in trouble...my family thought I was totally whacked out...lol Now they think it is terrific that I have a gift with cats and people come to me from the community to ask about cats and i have the goofy nickname of Catwoman...terrible as it is lol... I have only told one person in real life that I am actually a cat...that person also shapeshifts...My family could never grasp it... I get the feeling that there are very few werecats out there...took me forever to find this site..I want desperately to stay in contact with others of my kind, however it seems that like real solitary felines, werecats are the same way..just not naturally a pack animal....keep in touch..hug

Sometimes I'm afraid Scottish Wildcats will go extinct, as I am a Scottish Wildcat therian. I mean, 92 %of wildcat deaths have something to do with humans, so sometimes I can't help but feel sad. I saw part of a dvd documentary about them, and a farmer they were interviewing shot something like 30 wildcats a day. There are only 400 left in the wild.

Done a bit of research I thought you maight be interested in.
The Cryptozoology A-Z had an artical about a smilodon possibly living just 36 years ago...
"Karl Shuker's Mystery Cats of the World mentions an alleged 1975 shooting of a " mutant jaguar" (as locals called it) in that South American nation [Paraguay].It is supposed to have weighed 160 pounds. Zoologist Juan Acavar, who examined it, measured its saber teeth, which were fully twelve inches long.He thought it was Smilodon ( the Pleistocene saber toothed tiger generally thought to be extinct for ten thousand years). So as not to disturb residents, however, the authorities stuck with the jaguar identification. Nothing more has been heard of this specimen."
Apparently the cat was slightlysmaller than a Jaguar (a young one maybe?) and had stripes.
I think it's really sad though that such a beautiful, mysterious creature was shot. I just hope that if there are any out there that they stay safe and can continue to live as they have done for all those thousands of years.

Cool! It's great to be clued up about the animal type you are. It always interests me, as I suppose by learning about them you can learn sbout yourself more. I read some books by a cat behaviour counseller once, and it really helped me understand my own feelings. It's good to be geek!
